WHEN? Saturday, August 29th – 10am-5pm

WHERE? Newtown Theatre -Crn King & Bray Street, Newtown South

WHO? Created by Nomadic Hands non profit project.

Panel judges will include the Artistic Director of Queer Screen, the Director of Sydney Underground film festival and a founder of the Sydney Latin American Film Festival.

WHAT? Showcasing social and environmental documentaries and films

WHY? To create awareness about human rights, animal welfare and environmental conservation around the world and to network and collaborate with like-minded creative people. This is a wonderful opportunity to combine creative media with activism in order to inspire and encourage more filmmakers to express their views positively and effectively.

COST: FREE (Donations welcome)

All proceeds from all food and raffle tickets sold go towards the post production expenses of Ikiam- A documentary made by Nomadic Hands, about oil exploitation throughout Ecuador’s Amazon.

FILM SUBMISSIONS: Entries must be 20 minutes or less and must be received by the 22nd of August 2009. Finalists will be screened at SSEFF. It’s free to enter!
